IPB 2.1 final's RTE and standard editor are missing some buttons, like the code tags, html tags, and the sql tags. It'd be nice to see all of them there, but if not at least have the code tags back.

I think it would be cool to be able to turn this off, reason is I use several browsers and want to use it for some that I can use it in "You have set 'Rich Text Editor' as your editor but your browser isn't compatible with it. The standard editor has been used instead."

3.0 - secondary group changes

Ok trying to keep it simple but it does get complex.. Scenario: You make a member group to be the moderating team of a forum, but you set members of it by putting it in their secondary group instead of as their primary group. If you select that member group to be hidden, then clicking the member groups name on the "Forum led by:" link, you'll get an error. If it's not hidden, then clicking on it should list members who are associated with that member group status. Also a forum moderator leader. Start/End times per group/optional

Start/End times is a great new feature Matt :thumbsup: Some people don't like them and would like to be able to disable them completely, others would like to be able to make it a per group setting. So I have this idea: Per group setting, can set start time, can set end time (both separate, yes/no choices) Then in the post topic screen, have it be minimized by default, but clicking on a + sign or a down arrow would open it up to reveal the options. (Obviously have a title on it such as "Timed options" or something)

Hiya, Suggetion: Allow users to 'ignore' forums I'd love to see an option in IPB to let users "disable" specific forums (Forumgroups or even subforums): Users can hide parts of the board they never want to participate (like testing forums, offtopic, product-forums they don't need). From my viewpoint: The boards I visit (also non IPB driven) totally lack this feature. E.g. websites of gamepublishers or software vendors make 'view new posts' / 'view unanswered posts' in most cases unusable - too may results are shown that a user might noy be interested in or can't provide input to the community (unanswered posts). What really bugs me about IPB 2.0 is the quote reply button. Most people are replying using that and it virtually doubles the database size. The two buttons in the post should be called multi quote and quote. Then maybe they they should have a proper reply button in the post instead of just at the top and bottom of the page. Most inexperienced users automatically use that button to reply because they don't know any better. Just a small point, I don't know if anyone else agrees with me or not.

Include H1 tags and convert to html. SEO on/off features

Would it be possible to include a SEO function that we can turn on or off that would allow us to turn the forum address from what it is to something like forumname.com/title_of_thread.html and have the name of the thread also created in H1 tags. Just something i'd like to see happen-either officially or through a Mod, as it would add in a lot of "great" seo features.

There doesn't appear to be any character or size limit on what can be saved in the personal notepad. Therefore, it could be very well possible for someone to type/paste as much text as they want in there, save and maybe fill up the database? Perhaps an ACP option to limit the amount of characters or size it can take up in kilobytes.

For the poll options I think you should be able to set the amount of days it is open in the post. Also why do the topics apear unread when u put them in the trashcan?

How about having options for the trash can like "Restore". When you restore a post or topic, it places it back where it came from. Currently in 2.0.4 you have to move it yourself, but of course when you do that it doesn't put it back in it's original place does it?

hi guys, I was wondering if its possible to add a new feature that would show members that were inactive for x days!!?? and then you can delete or suspend thier accounts?? at the moment, you can only search if the users were active from xx-xx-xx to xx-xx-xx?? I don't know when you will use this?? I think its good to delete members that were inactive for a period of 60 days, and has zero posts. cheers :thumbsup:

You forgot some images that you should be allowed to edit in the admin cp: topic rating post icons I'll add some more if I can think of any. But the point is every image on the forum should be editable. :thumbsup:

Halt Members Post Count

It'll be a great feature to be able to stop a members post count from increasing just through a tick when editing them in Admin CP. I have a few on my site who just post crap to up their post count, and i don't want to remove the post counts because that'll be punishing others. BEST IDEA EVER.

Just as an idea, how about a feature where users (maybe usergroup controlled) can create a notification to be sent to them when a topic is started which contains certain keywords. E.G. if I'm interested in reading about threads that are to do with my motherboard or if I'm looking for a certain item for sale. When a thread is started (not follow ups, maybe optional?) then I would get an email stating that a thread X has been started with my keyword(s) XXX in it?

Its a feature that Cpanel has and is extreemly useful and i think it would be great in IPB aswell as i constantly get asked to take a look in people accounts for one reason or another but they always have to change their passwords. Anyway basicaly what im saying is i think it would be a neat feature if the admin with ID1 could use their password to login to any member account

I checked out the 2.1 admin demo and there still doesn't seem to be any way to edit the post icons in the admin cp. This is a necessary feature, and must be included.

Suggestions for quick editing

1) When pressing the Edit button, it should just go to quick edit. Then there should be a button next to "Complete Edit" and "Cancel Edit" which should be called "Full Edit", which would bring you to the full edit screen if you wanted to. This would allow edits to be even quicker. This option can be turned off if you wish. 2) Get rid of the loading image that appears when you choose to do quick edit. There's no need for it and slows down the forum. It's best left as a mod.
