Chris Bell Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 (edited) it has to be something in IPS new code! i compared css on live and dev instances; identical on both 4..0.13 and 4.1.3.1 php code has minor changes; i cant see how that effect the plugin I'm surprised im the only one getting this; or maybe no one else with WWA tested on 4.1.3.1 yet Edited November 5, 2015 by Chris Bell
Morrigan Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 @Chris Bell What is your desired result (I've looked through and haven't determined what you are wanting specifically) but I would love to help fix it. -RAW- and Chris Bell 2
Chris Bell Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 (edited) Hi Morrigan, thank you for chiming in i am not trying to get anything special done; plain vanilla WWA 1.16; Ive simply upgraded (on my dev) from 4.0.13 to 4.1.3.1 the same settings are maintained; when update is completed the grid is broken, (updated WWA to 1.1.6) there seem to be some space added from nowhere (you can see it in my post here https://community.invisionpower.com/topic/417725-who-we-are-ipboard-4x/?do=findComment&comment=2591983) i also noticed that the member number to display is no longer honored (btw this particular issue with the number not honored; only happened with 4.1.3.1but not before! i did test everything between 0.13 to 1.3.1) live site - http://forums.nightenvironment.com/ dev site - http://forumsdev.nightenvironment.com/ TIA Chris Edited November 5, 2015 by Chris Bell
Morrigan Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Hey there again @Chris Bell this issue doesn't appear to be with the mod but one of the image issues that IPB had. Mousing over the "middle" sections that add space there appears to be an additional person there that is missing. I know that there was an issue with some upgrades that caused member images to disappear and I think this may be the case as well. Chris Bell 1
Chris Bell Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 that is strange, i believe you are right and rightfully justify your badge title i didn't noticed this before 4.1.3.1 it was just a space added with no user name when hovered over; even now when you brought it up i was going to use dev tools to inspect the code when i noticed there's a user name there now! i believe the missing 4 users that should be there somehow got truncated; id expect to see a div there with broken image link; before 4.1.3.1 all users were there; with this strange added space and misaligned grid as shown here

If you can provide forum credentials i can personally have a look at it. Chris Bell 1
Chris Bell Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Thank you Raw, maybe a larger number then 4, i run 22 there, as Morrigan found the actual user image is missing (in 4.1.3.1 but not in previous updates 4.1.2..., before it is an added space)
Morrigan Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 What browser are you using? I find that Firefox won't show broken images but other browsers sometimes do. @Chris Bell -RAW- and Chris Bell 2
Chris Bell Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 (edited) on further inspection Morrigan 100% on the money with missing images suggestion (i use FF 28, old habit ) Edited November 5, 2015 by Chris Bell
Morrigan Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 @Chris Bell I had a similar issue on my dev board. It did not affect my main board. So I would not be concerned with this or an upgrade as it will not adversely cause issues. Chris Bell 1

It did not affect my main board. my dev is actually a replica of the live site 1:1 right before i begin testing the updates, i download the live db; edit it then import it to back to the dev db (blank prior); same goes with all root files; everything is exactly the same before i test the updates, and so far Ive been very disappointed; Ive tested 3- or 4 different builds now; each build tested 5 or 6 times in a row; they all come out crappy on the other side, i run plain vanilla theme; with very few select marketplace addon's; i keep waiting for a stable build that work without redoing everything logos are stripped with every time i update; i don't even bother complaining about it on bug track top navigation css is broken because the logo is stripped; (fixed after i restore my logo) Edited November 5, 2015 by Chris Bell
Morrigan Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 (edited) @Chris Bell While I can understand your reservation in this. I also duplicate my live site to a dev site. These issues still came up. It had something to do with IPB but did not (and you can verify this via my live site: http://distant-fantasies.net ) effect my live site. I'm not sure what causes it because it only breaks on my dev board.... But it has nothing to do with the mod. If you have problems with the actual upgrade (not the dev upgrade) you are free to contact me directly. Contact info removed When it comes to CSS fixes/issues I find the only way to guarantee that things don't get overwritten is to update only the custom.css although the changes overall may require new fixes. I don't provide my contact information normally for things that should be a problem but let me know when you have them so I can remove them please. Chris Bell Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 (edited) Thank you so much Morrigan, you're a treasure! the image issue doesn't happen on your live; but does on dev like with me? wow more IPS oddities! i will definitely save your contact; i hope we get to chat over fun issues rather then tracing css problems (contact info can be removed now) ATB Chris Edited November 5, 2015 by Chris Bell media, Morrigan and -RAW- 3
Chris Bell Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 @Morrigan @-RAW- check this out guyshttps://community.invisionpower.com/4bugtrack/active-reports/gravatar-user-profile-stripped-images-r8931/
Morrigan Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 That would make sense. I don't use gravatar anymore because it messes with my default image but that certainly doesn't help. Chris Bell 1
Chris Bell Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 on my dev all looks good now; im almost ready to make the move got this after the update from 1.1.5 to 1.1.6 with latest IPS build reverting back to WWA v1.1.5 under the later IPS build got me back to normal view media 1
Morrigan Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 It's likely a skinning issue. Let me know when you change it back and I'll see what I can figure out to fix the behavior.

Chris Bell Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 @media there isn't such option, there is a plugin - (BIM41) Required Info i use to remind users to add their profile image
Kjell Iver Johansen Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 I notice that the left coloumn does have bold txt on unread topics. Anyone have that? My users are very much engaged in this plugin - because they "does not like" the activity stream. Also hope you are looking at my suggestion on altering so that the link is pointing to the next unread - not the last comment suggested of me above
Chris Bell Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 (edited) "topics Ive participated in" does not update records! while "recently discussed forum topics" is updating records as expected, Edited November 7, 2015 by Chris Bell
