  1. It is always the same. Speaking about what is good is pretty dull. Complaining is so much easier. Let us complain, and you'll see the activity explosion in the thread.
  2. I love it too, but I wish we could get more areas to drop. And we could mix one-column, two-columns, three-columns on one page. Add widgets below the title (between the header and main content) Add full width widgets (above and below main content, including sidebar) Add widgets in two columns side by side, e.g. hot topics and new topics in two columns above or below the forum index.
  3. Bypass modal window with forum choice if there is only one forum the user is allowed to post in. Correct the bug with fluid and expanded view. Allow users to subscribe to tags and fire a notification if something is posted with the tag Show topics without read permissions in the fluid view Allow guests to report content providing e-mail and add a spam protection to it.
  4. @sound, it is about fulfillment. With IPS Commerce you manage the products, take orders and process payments. However, IPS Commerce does not include picking the items from the stock, wrapping and packing them, bringing to post and so on. That's why they use Shopify, who does all the things above. Connecting IPS Commerce to fulfillment services would be a cool idea, but there is nothing out of the box right now.
  5. Disappointed that the store was not built with Commerce.... Why do you guys not use your own products? Support with Commerce is ceased, now brand shop with Shopify. What next? Moving community blog to WordPress? Gallery to Instagram? Clubs to Facebook groups and Calendar to Google? Then "just" connect everything with Zapier.
  6. Sonya* commented on Daniel F's entry in Blog
@Daniel F, it this something we can use internally in IPS? Without 3rd party service? For example: if user registers, then create a new Welcome PM for him if a database record updated, update the date of the parent record in the reciprocal database (database relationship) if user RSVP an event, join him to closed club if user subscribes to newsletter, gives him achievement points etc.
  7. We have this already in Pages: Post a topic to the specific forum each time a new record is added + Use forum for comments I wish the same for Calendar, Blogs, Gallery, Downloads, Commerce. Yet, it sounds like more than one wish, but in fact this is only one feature that would help to integrate discussions in every IPS and third-party app. Posting a new topic invites forum users to comment in a familiar environment. At the same time, having forum replies as comments right below the content item increases guest engagement. And no, activity stream is not the same, it is just browsing, without interaction.
  8. This is an example of how community can be made from clubs: https://creatura.club. This community is dead but not due to the clubs. Adobe Muse is dead, that's why.
  9. More no-media days in 2022: No radio in the morning: I start the day with silence. No smartphone to pass the time: I abstain from messengers like WhatsApp. I put my smartphone in flight mode. No computer wasting time: computer work is OK, of course, but I keep my hands off cat videos, Twitter and other stuff. I switch off the desktop when I do not work. No news consumption: I take a break from dealing with other people's trivial problems. My radio station in the car is in Swahili, I just listen to the music and don't understand the news. No TV: I keep it turned off. When I lie down on the sofa, I just relax. No media for sleep aid: I end the day with silence. I was surprised how restful such days can be, and I plan to set up more such days next year.
  10. Is Elastic Search included in IPS Cloud? If not, what is the cheapest solution to use it in IPS Cloud?
  11. 8 days later, only 28 members voted in the poll in this topic. The participation is not good for a number of active users in this community. Why? What do you think @Jordan Miller? Why is it so? Is it because the poll feature itself is something the most admins do not use and therefore they do not participate? Or is it because this poll has not been seen/found by the most users in the community? What do you think?
  12. I assume the first issue is a bug.
  13. This was not meant negative. Just an example how urgent help topic can look like. Me, personally, I hate ticket support in most cases 😄 I like community support: Searching before ticket can give a fix within minutes. Writing down and waiting for support can take hours. See if the issue is a known bug. When a support thread becomes hot or there are many similar threads, I can see that the issue is a bug and just wait for solution instead of ... you know, writing down 😄 Get several ideas, brainstorming. While waiting for solution, I get answers from community, that probably do not contain a solution, but kepp me busy (I hate waiting). Just browsing through threads a while. It's a kind of permanent knowledge update for me. 1 and 2 save IPS support time that is (hopefully!) invested into developing new features 😉 Even if I can understand the reasons, why others would like ticket support, I am happier with community support.
  14. I do not have a scenario, but there have been a thread recently with urgent help needed
  15. To be fair, consider support communities for paid software: https://talk.plesk.com/ https://community.kaspersky.com/ https://communities.sas.com/ https://community.adobe.com/ Searching for already fixed issues can save time.
  16. Yes, all Marketplace add-ons will continue to work. It is just like frozen development, no new feature, no bug fixes. But it works. I do not rely on IPS spam fighting. I use CleanTalk that works whether your license is active or not. It is free for the first 7 (?) days. The prices are democratic, worth to try.
  17. You do not need to pay. You can just not renew. As long, as you like. You will not get any update, you will not get IPS support und you will not be able to use Marketplace. But your site would be still online. It does not depend on renewal.
  18. There are still "online visitors" instead of "page impressions" in the Frequently Asked Questions section https://invisioncommunity.com/buy I hoped there would be better condition for niche communities and/or multiple licenses holders. E.g. self-hosted licenses entirely without support. Or affordable monthly cloud price.
  19. Import, export database including records, categories, page, CSS and JS, blocks and so on. Include CSS/JS templates and database page into application like HTML templates. Field Button with custom PHP actions on pre-save, post-save or display (alternatively bind fields to hooks) IPS classes from CSS framework in CKEditor, like warnings, section header, blocks, any kind of typography. Custom areas in template where the fields are placed (above or below the content is not enough). More control for the forms, like selecting tabs, adding AJAX, toggle on/off, generally all options we have in Field class. Field keys and record data available in the form - this is really essential Include custom CKEditor plugins into applications. Rework filter block to use and/or logic, filtering by Address field Language (my personal pain). Just 5 options in language tab are not enough for the most languages out there.
  20. I have tested it and cannot see any timestamp added while redirecting 🤔
