We have a bunch of forums listed in our link directory, but I'm not posting a link because it's a different forum software. Similar to WP VORT3X's link directory, but not as many. 😄

It may be worth checking in with Cloudflare and banning traffic from certain countries like Russia, China, etc. Navigate to the Firewall menu and select the "Tools" option. Choose "IP Access Rules" and create a new rule for the country you want to block. Select "Block" as the action and enter the country code or name you wish to block.

Disposable email filtering is great. Nice job on that.

I understand that the shutdown of the Marketplace is a huge shock to everyone, thinking it's the end of the world when it's honestly not. 3rd party developers will still be able to offer their applications, and with the help of @Joel R building a directory, that is bound to be good. Have a little trust everyone. Also worth noting: Other forum software developers don't maintain an official marketplace and don't review codes or anything that is being released. It's entirely on the BUYER's responsibility to check for recommendations, reviews, sales, and reputation of the 3rd party developer. As always, think and do research before you buy and if it's too good to be true then it most likely is.

You will run in the exact same issue with any other platform, I can guarantee you that. Neglecting maintenance is your problem to begin with. What you are doing now is shifting that mistake on Invision Community while it's a 3rd party add on bug. You need to investigate which add on, and contact the respectively author of that application.

Just checked, it will most likely need an uninstall. But that will also delete the application without the ability to extract the files. I would extract them from your file manager.

I believe disabling an application - not deleting - is sufficiently enough for doing the upgrade.

Some applications you have installed are not compatible with PHP8, therefore, an upgrade from 7.4 to 8.0 will cause your website to crash. Perfectly normal behavior. You need to investigate which application is not ready for PHP8 before you are able to upgrade. This is not on Invision Community's behalf, but on whoever made an application that doesn't comply with PHP8.

I wasn't expecting this outcome. It's no secret it has been declining for years, so action was bound to be made. I like the Dev Directory, it's a very nicely made alternative and it gives more freedom to our Devs. Well done.

I think a lot is just misunderstood. But it's a bit confusion as well, so it was bound to happen. Some will say it's a bad thing, without realizing it's in their best interest and gain. Keep it up Invision Community.

Is there an ETA when we will see the first of the transition to v5?

I'm very excited to see the new version.

I've just installed a fresh install on my server and it's not letting me login the admin control panel. No errors came up, but it keeps refreshing and no matter how many times I click confirm, nothing happens. Very frustrating. Are there any known issues or fixes around this? Thank you in advance. Edit: it seems I was using /admin instead of /admin/index.php - which resolved my problem.

It's due to SendGrid. Disable SendGrid and no errors will pop up.

When adding a link to the directory the miniature.io doesn't capture the thumbnail. Is that because the forum is still offline when adding a link or does the API need to be setup correctly to work? If so, how ?
