It's almost time for pumpkin carving, heavily sweetened coffees and raking up leaves for months, but first our October release is ready for testing!

You can see the full change log for 5.0.12 here.

Along with a good number of bug fixes, we've squeezed in a major update on dropdown menus. I know that doesn't sound exciting but it means we can have native feeling menus when using a mobile device via the browser or PWA. It really does make it feel more app-like.

It's also a major technical change so please give all menus a good test, both on desktop and on mobile. Ehren and Matt spoke a lot about webcomponents and popovers. 🤷‍♂️

The favicon has settled for me, but it's great to see it included among the fixes.

As for the PWA, it's an awesome feature. Well done, everyone! 👏🏻👏🏻

There is a slight hiccup when upgrading:

I've lost my images on Administrata such as logo, and uploaded images in theme resources.

Edit: reimported the theme fixed it, but it's a workaround, just so you know.

On my -testinstall the entire layout gets a grayish tint over it, pictures also. Changed to default invision layout. With no theme editor css changes. Same happens.

Where there btw changes to "Table of Contents". (don't see any)
- Missing a plus sign if catogory has more items.
- Not showing recent items added to Table of contents. (Some appear later, but not all)
- Alignmengt not always in the right place?

I know this was added in 5.0.11
But for some reason i'am not able to get the Table of Contents to look right. (with the above items)
I can pm the link if a god dev wants it.

I tried to update as usual through Admin Cp. The update failed and it crashed my whole website. I don't know what to do here.

Here is the screenshots of what I'm getting as the error message. If I hit retry or continue the screen blinks for a moment to try again and ends up right back here.

I usually go to my admin CP through the website, but since it's down I had trouble figuring out how to try to get back to the my dashboard.

I type in my website ironhistory.com/admin and it takes me to the below error page

If I just try going to my website ironhistory.com it gives me this error.

Can someone please help me? Or point me to someone who can help me?

If available on your plan, this can be enabled in Members>Member Settings>Profiles>Photo Gallery

From version 5.0.10 to 5.0.11, the ACP does does reorder menus anymore. I don't see in the changelog for 5.0.12 Beta 1 that this issue has been addressed.

On version 5.0.10, when reordering applications on the Applications page, it usually reorders them in the menus, such as the Community Tab menu, or Members Tab menu according to their respective order on the Applications page. This functionality does not work on 5.0.11 as it used to on 5.0.10. Will this be addressed on 5.0.12?

I have not reported it, but since the Bug Tracker was set to "invisible" where no one can see it now, where is the new appropriate location to report bugs? But maybe you can reproduce this your end. When installing applications on 5.0.10, and then reordering them like I do, which is in Alphabetic order, they reorder in that order. On 5.0.11, they do not do this.

You would simply post in the technical support area, as you have always done prior to version 5. The tracker there was temporary based on a new major release being implemented. I have reported that for you now

This would depend on whether the account has its own customised menu ordering preferences. It'll use the default ordering until you edit the layout (hamburger menu in the bottom left).

I think you misunderstand what I mean. I'll post the images again, but with colored boxes to represent the ordering. The hamburger menu you mention is in the green box, the per user menu that can be arranged by the member. The boxes in red are the ones that are ordered by the order of the application in the applications list on the Applications page.

EDIT: If you look at the order of both 5.0.10 and 5.0.11, the ordering is not consistent with how they are ordered on the applications page. You can tell by the applications page that the Who Viewed app is the last in the list and going up from their is the Who Was Online, then Validating, then Videos Directory, etc.

I had a bug reported with @Marc about merging tags that I was told that it might be added in next released. It was investigated and eventually fixed.

Any idea about this?

Beta 3 also contains some changes for Cloud customers, where they may see some errors saving files with Beta 2.

Beta 3 5001202 will not download from the Client Area. Error says it cannot produce the download. Same with Dev Tools.
