Hi all,

I’m aware that Michael is no longer supporting anythiing related to IPB and the app hasn’t been updated for a very long time. But has anyone tested this in V5?

I’m wondering how much more use I’m going to be able to get out of the plugin, really wish he had handed this over to someone.

Nothing from IPS4 will work with IC5!

It won’t work without updates. The PHP class names changed, the HTML/CSS too is completely different, etc.

I recently finished remaking one of his applications for a client (Profile Photos & Covers), and I have requests for several of his other apps.

However, rather than updating Mike’s code, I am coding my apps from scratch and including some code to convert any Devfuse data (if detected). That way I can resell the modifications in my store.

The one I just mentioned, (TB) Default Profile Photos & Covers, will be available to everyone soon.

    I have asked about Live Topics, and Leaderboard Notifications.

    @Adriano Faria should be upgrading his videos application, which is excellent and very well maintained. I can imagine most will be picked up, or newer ideas introduced based on Michael John's work.

    I use Collections as the former Garage application on my community and with Michael no longer present for a little while, I have already forked his copy of version 4 due to bugs and other features I needed. With him not going to upgrade it for version 5, I have rewritten it for my own use. I plan to likely make this available in the near future as I finish up testing. I have a converter built to convert Collections to my Garage app as well.
