Multi Theft Auto Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Hey, it seems Google Authenticator for MFA has stoped working, QR images for enrrollement are not properly being generated. It seems google has finally deprecated it and all querys to https://chart.googleapis.com/ are failing with a 404 error. Information: https://developers.google.com/chart/infographics/docs/qr_codes Post where it is recommended to switch to another API: https://support.google.com/docs/thread/251700701
teraßyte Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Yes, Google is turning the service on and off constantly to alert people they'll remove it soon. That said, it's hilarious they mention using their new Charts API while it doesn't have a QR code option. 🤷♂️
hyprem Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Can confirm, I do have the same issue. I think an option for normal TOTP would be great so we could make use of 2FA Apps

hyprem Posted April 15 Posted April 15 That's right, now we just would need the option to generate the qr based on the auth code to have an easy onboarding Li3D 1

Showing QR image is much easier to add token rather than typing security texts manually on Google Auth App.

The problem is that the Google Charts API we use for QR codes (and other charts) has removed support for QR code generation. We're looking at alternatives for generating QR codes. hyprem 1
Solution Stuart Silvester Posted May 1 Solution Posted May 1 We have released a patch to address this issue. Please go to AdminCP > System > Support and apply the patch from the first/top left box. If you do not see an option to install the patch, you already have the latest release. Prank, Multi Theft Auto, NZyan and 2 others 1 4

Do you mean that it will be fixed when we update to the latest IPS version 4.7.16? or need to install something other? I'm not sure what is the Top-Left box other than Invision Community version.

The fix will be included for you as you were not already on that version prior to this fix being released. Stuart Silvester 1
