Invision Community 5: A video walkthrough creating a custom theme and homepage By Matt Thursday at 04:02 PM
opentype Posted March 14 Posted March 14 (edited) 1. Member posting is now working with the latest patch 👍 2. Database records made in clubs do not appear in feeds, not the club feed or the Activity feed. I have seen reactions to records though. 3. Pages Feed Blocks don’t honor club-level access permissions. On the club level, I turned off access for “Members not in this club” and the records can’t be accessed by non-club-members. But Pages Feed blocks for the database contain these records, despite “honor permission” being activated. The goal here would be to create a “latest news (or whatever the content is) from the clubs I am a member of” block. 4. Adding a category in a club is missing the Description field 5. Not making a Pages category in a club public leads to a confusing, generic error message, which doesn’t tell the user to join the club to access the content. I think the error should be clearer, or the Pages category tab should be hidden from the club, as it is done with Forums in clubs. Right now, it’s inconsistent. Forum tabs disappear, Pages tabs lead to an error. Edited March 15 by opentype Sonya*, teraßyte, Maxxius and 2 others 4 1
Jim M Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I can confirm this should be further reviewed and I have logged an internal bug report for our development team to investigate and address as necessary, in a future maintenance release. Â
opentype Posted May 30 Author Posted May 30 Was any of this identified as bug to be fixed in maintenance releases? My biggest issue is still this, which has stopped me from rolling out Pages databases in clubs altogether: On 3/14/2024 at 4:58 PM, opentype said: 2. I just tested again with the latest release and still see the same. Without new database records appearing in feeds it would be kind of pointless. The way to discover new records is just too long, when you manually have to go to Clubs → Specific Club → Database Category instead of just seeing a new record on the Activity page.Â

Fixed an issue where guests couldn't open the club categories page. Â

I am using closed clubs and the clubs feature is only visible to members.  Edited May 30 by opentype

opentype Posted May 30 Author Posted May 30 I just found it after testing every setting possible. It’s the “Allow Searching” setting in the database settings. When that is turned on, new club Pages records appear in feeds. If it turned off, they all disappear. BN_IT_Support, Marc and Sonya* 3
