Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted October 28, 201212 yr It may just be me (hopefully not) but posting on this forum has really slowed down recently. Coincidentally, it's been slow since the move to 3.4.0. If posting a fast reply the "loading" element at the top of the page takes an age to disappear. Has something changed?
October 28, 201212 yr This forum has been slow for me just navigating it since they upgraded to 3.4 beta
October 28, 201212 yr :) It's been happening ever since the 3.4.0 alpha. Limited to Firefox? I'm not entirely sure, but I guess so.. :)
October 28, 201212 yr noticed it on chrome too but thats not default browser so I didn't think much of it.
October 28, 201212 yr I would guess it is the ping service upon new topics. That used to be an issue with IP.SEO and now that feature is built into IPB...
October 28, 201212 yr I would guess it is the ping service upon new topics. That used to be an issue with IP.SEO and now that feature is built into IPB... :) That was new topics not new posts. :)
October 28, 201212 yr Haven't really noticed posts being slow. Maybe it's cause I don't post enough to notice. Might as well test it though. Posting speed is just as fast as it's always been. Edit however...
October 28, 201212 yr  That was new topics not new posts. I've only noticed it being slow on new topics, not posts. Occasionally there are times when this server is slow to respond to other requests - not just new topics / posts, but that has always been like that for me.
October 28, 201212 yr for me its both new and replies. and its sporadic. doesn't seem to be an isp issue as opening the post to read is fast as ever.
October 28, 201212 yr I'm not seeing any slowdowns, are you guys still seeing this? If so let us know and we will take a deeper look, but it seems fine currently.
October 28, 201212 yr :) Yeah, it's very random for me. I think I've reported it as a bug before. I have no idea how to reproduce it. :)
October 28, 201212 yr We'll keep an eye on it, post up again on this topic if you see it happen again and I will follow this. ty
