What are the limitations for sending attachments?
Ahh, so we still have the 2GB limit, huh? Well... that's a shame.

Thats great news, thank you, Invision team!

What are the limitations for sending attachments?
In IC4, we have a maximum limit for attachment transfers of just under 2GB, which is due to the range of the table storing the file size. What is the actual maximum limit for file transfers in IC5?

Beta 9 is now on the table!
Looking at how many issues have been reported, it seems like we'll get beta 10, right?

Hungry? Well, Beta 8
I also installed beta8 immediately after its release and didn’t have the patch.

Bro you're becoming boring you keep repeating the same question to which you've already received clear answers. There won't be such functionality in the self-hosted package, and that's it. Please stop this spam...

Storage Settings - Multiple file storage locations will be deprecated in a future release.
So how can we do this if it will be deprecated in the future?

Storage Settings - Multiple file storage locations will be deprecated in a future release.
There's no point in hiding the truth. Please answer my question: when I have so many attachments that one server can't handle them, I need to use storage servers.

Yes, I am considering various options. Currently, I really like IC5, and I will definitely stay with it for a few more years to see how everything unfolds. I am closely observing the new Vitnode software, which could be an ideal alternative for self-hosting users in the future if the Invisoon team completely abandons this version or continues to limit it further.

They keep removing more and more features. soon this software will be stripped down to the bare minimum. How are we supposed to store large amounts of files? In my community, we host a lot of large attachments.

We're in heaven with Beta 7!
Its quite irresponsible to use a beta version on a production server.

IC5 max large file uploads?
- IC5 max large file uploads?
I heard that IC5 will not allow such an option?- IC5 max large file uploads?
No, the issue was with storing the file size in the database in version V4. You can upload a maximum file size of 2GB otherwise, you exceed the size type in the table. I described this in the topic below. Hence, my question: will V5 not have this problem? https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/475839-issue-with-uploading-large-files-over-100mb-need-help/#findComment-2956508- IC5 max large file uploads?
Will we be able to send files larger than 2GB in IC5? In IC4, this is the maximum limit due to the data range size in the table.- Missing features in version 5
No one ever said we get something for free. Compared to cloud customers, we pay significantly less, and there's no point in hiding it so let’s not expect too much. For now, let’s be grateful that self-hosted is still available for version v5 and will be supported throughout its entire support period. As the team has stated many times, some features require their cloud infrastructure and will never be available to self-hosted customers due to the complexity of implementation, the significant time investment required, and the additional hundreds of support requests. These actions are too costly and lack business justification.- Missing features in version 5
It's hard to disagree with that, but if you truly appreciate their work, pay a bit more. Nobody develops this software for free development and maintenance come with very high costs that they need to cover.- Missing features in version 5
I wouldn't count on it. These functions are likely designed for their cloud service, probably as microservices, and it's doubtful they would rewrite them specifically for self-hosted setups. It would certainly require considerable effort, which they likely don't have time for. Be happy with what you've receive we already have many great new features. If you need this solution, it might be time to consider whether a cloud solution is what you need.- Missing features in version 5
Let’s appreciate the work of the Invision Community team in developing the IC5 software. As a self-hosted user, I fully agree with this approach. The christmas holidays are coming, so let’s enjoy what we’re receiving because the new version of the software is amazing and brings great value. Let’s hope the new business model for self-hosted users meets your expectations, and we’ll see another version in the future. Unfortunately, looking at the issues caused by self-hosted users, I think there’s a high likelihood that you might move away from this model entirely, but that’s just my humble opinion.- Missing features in version 5
These functionalities were marked from the beginning as being available only in cloud packages, so you must have made a mistake.- IC5 support for PHP 8.4.x
I come with a question I couldn't find an answer to. Does the IC5 version support the latest version of PHP?- Alpha preview site now open
I am excited about the upcoming changes, my community will be reborn anew. I am looking forward to the public release of v5 and I am upgrading to the classic license.- Invision Community v5: An update, and next steps

Unfortunately, it's a pity that you're not improving interactions. By this, I mean dynamically adding content in real-time, for instance, when a post is published, so that a user who is currently in the thread can immediately see the added post without refreshing, and such interactions in the inbox as well. - IC5 max large file uploads?
