  1. This IPS provider @ReyDev offers a course LMS app that is superior to the IPS version for self-hosting folks. https://www.invisioneer.org/files/file/410-lms-courses/
  2. Disabling right-click is still an effective solution. Not everyone is tech-savvy and will look for URLs in the page sources. WordPress has a very effective plugin that can do this. Not every driver follows the road speed limit. However, a vast majority do.
  3. I, too, have seen this on my website occasionally. Members displayed and logged in anonymously. I chose not to seek support for it due to the harsh frustration you, the IPS support, put its self-hosting customers through when I reported issues with your software. You always try to blame every issue I have on my hosting provider or third-party resources. Yes, this issue of anonymous login by non-anonymous members is real.
  4. I personally have never seen this warning. There was no php warning when updating nor in the apc. If updating past php 8.1 is so critical for the suite this should be stated in the apc support section or have a warning in the apc when a system does not have the recommend version of php. No one here can read minds.
  5. In my book, the latest is always the best. Someone has to be the guinea pig for the rest or there will be a slow evolution. I'll be installing IPSv5 on the first day it dropsđŸ™‚.
  6. My hosting had PHP 8.3, and I thought being on the latest PHP was the best.
  7. Stock photo now works with PHP8.1. Was it php8.3 the cause of the auto update issue?
  8. Three of us have the same issue. Will you not submit a ticket for someone to look into the issue?
  9. Yes, same here. Tue, 12 Mar 2024 23:29:47 -0500 Exception::0 Could not list the files in the zip #0 /home/customer/www/Mysite/public_html/admin/upgrade/extract.php(643): Extractor->extract(0) #1 {main} Also, insert a stock photo from the editor no longer works. See error.
  10. Hosting said the tmp folder is permission is correct, and the folder is not full. I have no server logs.
  11. I uploaded the files again, and the update installed OK. Still, how do I get the auto-update fixed. Can you check what prevents the auto-update from working?
  12. How can it be my hosting when you have not even log to my site to check? what is the point of seeking support from you in here? The site works fine unti I try to update your software. Now you blame my hosting.
  13. Yes, I did that. The admin upgrade link back end shows a 403 error page, while the front end is a white page. Can you tell me the name of the folder the auto upgrade saves the file?
  14. It did not work. After copying the files manually, I had no access to the website's back or front end. I had to restore my website back up. Can you check why the auto update is not working? This worked fine the last time I updated.
  15. No, I did not. However, after this, I uploaded the updated content to the website and chose to overwrite. Then the website would not load, giving a 403 error. I had to revert back to backup.
  16. I have not had this issue before. I can't update to the latest version. There are no applications available to upgrade Auto update not working
  17. Heads up for Admins who want to display photo EXIF data by hovering over images posted in the Forums, Pages app, and comments for their photo-driven communities. You can contact the provider @ReyDev , who has created an app that can do it. Displaying photo EXIF data for photos in a photo/image forum, subconsciously encourages members to upload more photos which means more member engagements đŸ˜€.
  18. As an admin, you could download the video, convert it to MP4 using handbrake then re-upload. https://handbrake.fr
  19. The video will play on Apple's own browser, which is Safari, because Apple owns Safari. The video will not play on Firefox because Apple does not own Firefox. People who use Safari will be able to play the video. People who don't use Safari will not be able to play the video.
  20. This app can save comments as bookmarks. https://www.ic-essentials.com/files/file/31-bookmarks/
  21. I have asked three different devs if they could create an EXIF display app, and they all said it was not possible. Today, I found a new dev who said yes, it's possible. Hopefully, I'll have this feature soon.
  22. Exif data is irrelevant for you. However, it is very relevant for me and others who use the IPS suite for image-driven communities.
