I would but could never justify the price of $150 (used to be $100 and even then it was too much) + $45 renewal every 6 months, I'd probably make a loss.

It won’t work for me then as my members can upload, plus that sounds a bit of a faff just to get something working which should be possible.

I considered that before but most topics don't have uploaded images, and if they are can often not be relevant. I just want to set my own when I want to share it. Any chance of that @opentype

That's not what I want though, I want it like where it is a clickable image to take you to the topic. But I want the image to be related to the topic each time.

You need to make it easier to share on social media, just simply being able to add meta images to topics and then that image showing in social media in the embedded link would help no end. Right now it just uses the default share icon for every topic, its so restricted.

The ability to set a meta image for topics, not being able to do this means all topic shares to social media have the same default image and its such a restriction.

I'll make a prediction. IPS 5.0 will be for cloud users only, whilst maintaining 4.x for us cheapskates. (for a bit maybe)

Not all new features but needed, as I suggest every time a topic like this appears. Night mode button. Ask certain members to revalidate their email. (bounced email occasions) Merge old member title with new rank system, so the ranks title becomes editable after # of posts, and place that title under the username.

More control over ads, ability to show adverts after post numbers, currently we can only select after the first post. Instead of relying on mods like this that are now incompatible when it should be in the software already.

Be able to select which forums to show an advertisement in (for the cases you don't want it showing in them all)

It's been an issue for many years, the only way around it is creating groups that don't allow posts in certain forums but I'd rather just be able to prevent certain posters posting in specific topics.

Seriously though what changed? There was nothing in the release notes to suggest it would be improved speed, unless you finally worked out why the admin account was sluggish compared to normal accounts, as that's the issue I've faced for ages until this release. Keep it like this please 😅

I read this the other week and thought nothing of it, but just upgraded today and its super fast. Great, I just hope it wasn't a mistake and it lasts 😃

Hang on the price has increased for the license and with that we also lose email support? So if my site crashes during an upgrade and I'm stuck, I can't get support as I used to anymore to help get it back despite paying more

How do the ranks work if archive system is active? Are those included too? I have 82% archived which is 76000 topics. The image above leads me to ask this, as I can see there are dates these ranks were achieved so its looking back over all the posts but I wonder if archived are included.
