Thomas P Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 Something went apparently wrong, after upgrading our test install from 4.4 to 4.5 I noticed that the old plugin wasn't automatically uninstalled, so it was still shown as Plugin. I understood that it should be converted to an Application, right?
Nathan Explosion Posted March 12, 2021 Posted March 12, 2021 (edited) Nothing went wrong - all you did was match your installed item (a plugin) to its marketplace listing, which is what the process you followed does. It's up to to then update it - it's not automatically going to happen, it's only going to notify you that there is an update, which is checked for when IPS software checks for updates. 9 minutes ago, Thomas P said: I understood that it should be converted to an Application, right? For some reason which I have no idea only talking to you here, it didn’t do it. If you then uninstalled the plugin and have it now as app then it seems ok to me.

Well, I did it in our testing environment. I can handle it manually, this is no problem as this app doesn't have historical data or a complex configuration. This is just a report for you that an Upgrade from 4.4 to 4.5 didn't work as expected in our case / so not in all cases... Edited March 12, 2021 by Thomas P Adriano Faria 1
Thomas P Posted July 27, 2021 Posted July 27, 2021 Just to check back: Is this App "Dead Topic Protection" compatible with PHP 8? IPB 4.6 is and we are about to switch, but want to be sure, that alle apps are as well. Thanks, Thomas
Adriano Faria Posted July 27, 2021 Author Posted July 27, 2021 (edited) Not tested yet. -------------------------- Sorry @Thomas P. This resource is already tested and it is compatible with PHP 8.0.8. Edited July 30, 2021 by Adriano Faria Thomas P 1
Thomas P Posted July 31, 2021 Posted July 31, 2021 Hi Adriano, thank you for the confirmation and your effort on this. Great!
anone Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 Will this close old posts or just posts going forward from initial installation.
Randy Calvert Posted June 4, 2022 Posted June 4, 2022 ANY post that has no replies in the last ____ days will have it's reply box disabled. The application does not actually "close" the topic. (It's a special status.) Instead if it's not had any replies in that time, the a message is displayed saying the topic cannot be replied to. It applies to all posts, though obviously new posts might take quite some time before you see the action applied to it since since it has to reach the post age limit for it to apply. Adriano Faria 1

Nexus_Web_Media Posted February 19, 2023 Posted February 19, 2023 I can't install plugin via ACP. Is displaying window with information about error and request to contact with support.

This is probably something related to the ACP Marketplace module so we'll need to contact someone from support indeed.

The file install works just fine to me via marketplace. Should I re upload the file? Edited February 20, 2023 by Adriano Faria
Randy Calvert Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 I don't mean to butt in, but one thing to check is that /tmp/ on the server that is extracting the file has sufficient space and/or permission. If installing other plugins is working, it might be something with the upload. Adriano Faria 1
