Rolling out 3.0.1 with the current fixes would be nice, as I have time to do the updates this weekend. :)

Yeah, probably looking at a Thursday U.S time release date now, hopefully. :P

I'm hoping to see it today as well, would be very nice. I've been waiting for 3.0.1 to be released to upgrade a few sites.

I doubt it. Since they actually have to support these releases, I think they'll update on Tuesday. If they release it on a Thursday or Friday, they'll get a huge backlog of support tickets and bug reports. Instead of letting it soak here over the weekend, and do the final finishing touches on Monday, and release it the next day.

Unfortunately, for 3.0.0 -> 3.0.1, that would be virtually every single file. ;)

As I pointed out in another thread, there's a shortcut to upgrading if no upgrade package is available - see the post here.

no offense but that's not a shortcut for upgrading that's just a faster way to upload anything that has multiple files in it ;) but that was good info for anyone who didn't know how to do it

I'm lazier. I prefer to not do any file edits. :D

Also, I use the SSH method of updating. So much faster and more reliable. After all, multiple files, bigger possibility of file corruption during transfer.
