  1. I hope that v5 will bring a lot of changes in terms of design theme and optimization 🙂
  2. Then why is the purchase of a self-hosted license so much hidden at the very bottom? Look this: Look this: and footer: I have seen that many people have already made a mistake and bought a cloud package, not a self-hosted license, because it is in the footer. I will not discuss this topic anymore, because I do not care about these functions, but I am afraid that soon there will only be a cloud .... It is clearly visible that it is heading towards the only cloud. Matter of time.
  3. I pay about 150 euros a year for hosting in Europe. Here is the cloud lowest package $50 per month. Which results in $600. The cost of maintaining the forum is not profitable in my case, because I run it as a hobby without profits.
  4. A small notification in the admin panel about the patch is enough. In what quarter do you plan to refresh the look?
  5. I agree. This function in this topic is of little importance to me, but other functions only cloud have also been introduced that would not be so difficult and problematic on self-hosted.
  6. Yes, but this is the problem of the client himself and possibly the company where he has hosting, not yours. When deciding on a forum or website, you need to learn some basics yourself. And there's an easy way to do that. Only provide support for software issues. And when it comes to hosting settings etc, each customer using self-hosted on their own.
  7. Why do you immediately conclude that self-hosted client servers are outdated and lack the features listed above? It's just a cover. Because if someone can't prepare the environment, it's their problem not yours.
  8. I will add that most do not live in the American dream, and $ 50 per month for the lowest cloud package is a price from outer space. Other software companies also have their own clouds, but they do not hide the purchase of self-hosted license on their website and the software is identical on the cloud and on self-hosted. Give people the right to choose, because at the moment the cloud is proposed in every possible place.
  9. Yes Yes. Once, IPS lived only on self-hosted licenses, but now it will not survive, even though the price for the license has increased and for support ... It's just that most companies are now focused on making as much profit as possible. Just keep in mind that most of them do not live in the American dream, but in much poorer countries, where $50 for the lowest package cloud per month is an amount from outer space. Many people set up a hobby forum and there is no profit from it, and IPS clearly directs its cloud to companies that have a budget to maintain the cloud.
  10. A lot of people run their forum as a hobby and don't make any money from it. the cloud is too expensive and I prefer to use self-hosted and my servers. The second thing is configuration. In some cases, IPS needs to be hosted on its own server due to a number of integrations with other platforms. I'm not interested in the cloud. Your policy is a bit strange because other companies don't hide the purchase of a self-hosted license on their site and the software is the same whether it's self-hosted or in the cloud. And here I see a typical one-way setting with bonuses for the cloud.
  11. Maybe soon we will have svg support for the logo, reaction, etc.? 🙂
