  1. I’d like to think it would never detect anything on my site, but so glad it’s there as protection if we do have some wrong’uns about. Thanks!
  2. From someone that brought some of these to your attention, would be rude of me to not stop by and say thank you and the team once again. I will never miss an opportunity to fluff up your ego! Raised the issue with the image scanner and template locations, patch released that day within a few hours. Found a couple more with Paypal and Privacy policy the patch released the next day. I get why some big sites prefer to wait, however as an owner of a site with nearly 3m posts, I never doubt the team here to rapidly fix any issues. If we all held back, these issues would take longer to find, so I'm happy to be the guinea pig with my trust so high. 5x has gone down really well with the members so far, they love the new and I quote "sexy" dark mode and the new nav bar on mobile is adored. @Ehren needs a pay rise!
  3. And we're there, all live and working. Couple of minor issues which turn out to be bugs, I expected a couple, only natural but yeah, the 5 journey begins! Members early feedback has been positive, so I must pass on my thanks to @Matt @Stuart Silvester & @Marc not just for the last few hours rescuing me, but the years of work to get us to this stage along with the rest of the team. Very much appreciated. Oh, do we have a release date for 6.0.0 yet?
  4. Thanks, although as I said in the ticket. I don't even have image scanner in my plan 🤷🏻‍♂️
  5. Anyone on support still, I neeeeeeed you 😂 I can't upload any forum icons as they "violate community standards" apparently. Also, front/global/globaltemplate isn't showing to hook a template into the head. Stuck on these two and can't go live again until fixed. Dropped a support email but not sure if it's been received, seems to be an issue with my email address, incoming going to junk and delayed, outgoing probably the same.
  6. Quick question. When I click request update, does that immediately automatically update all the files and I need to head over straight away to upgrade as my site will be offline. Or is it manual where I request and I wait for one of you lovely people get involved?
  7. In my excitement just rushed to quickly update to the latest version of 4 to then request 5 to update tonight after I finish work, thinking it would take just a couple of minutes and managed to run into my first error whilst updating whilst on the Cloud. Sent an email, help! 😅
  8. Not sure what's more sad here, the fact someone was working on Christmas Day, or you've even had to defend yourself here. Whilst I know not everyone celebrates Christmas, for Western countries it's been fairly common period of time off with family, too much food and alcohol. I'd like to think most customers like myself have not expected to see any Beta or final release over Christmas! Crack on now though, it's over with, get us our final release yeah? Chop chop!
  9. This is why I’m so happy being on the Cloud. You say it’s exciting, I’ve never heard of it, but I’m excited that you’re excited, continuously looking to improve the platform whilst I just sit back and relax 👍
  10. Beta nine, Charles is all mine
  11. I love the cloud. Extremely happy customer and for all of the criticism over the pricing, it’s worth every penny to me even without the additional features. I don’t doubt for a second you can go and buy a dedicated server for a fraction of the price, however it’s the time to manage that server, the continuous updates to ensure efficiency and security, the time it takes to understand how to manage that server. Many, like myself don’t have the time or posses the knowledge, that’s why the Cloud has been a godsend. Prior to the Cloud I was on a VPS playing piggy in the middle when issues arose. They said this, tell them that, it’s not us it’s them and so on. Now it’s one email sent, problem solved within the hour, all done for you sir, anything else please let us know. Shout out to @Marc. And that’s happened maybe a couple of times in at a guess closing on 2 years in March. It just works. I see the criticism, I understand the frustration over the tiers, however don’t go dissing the Cloud as for some of us, and I would guess 85% of the 85% Cloud users find invaluable. I’ll also say this, a future where @Matt and the team ever decide this all isn’t worth it, the time, dedication, stresses are not worth the financial returns, it’s a future I genuinely fear as you look at Xenforo, you look at vBulletin, with all due respect that’s not a future I want for my site. If they were trying to sell us a car but the wheels were an optional extra for £1000 each, or headlight bulbs not coming as standard I would get it. You’re getting a fully functional car for the sticker price, but if you want the extra comforts, something to pleasure your passengers like heated seats, it will cost you a little extra and we’ll chuck in a driver as well for you so you can sit in the back and enjoy the ride with your passengers. More time to catch up. Matt, I’ll send you the invoice for this post later, cheers!
  12. Finally having a play with the Beta, seeing what my site can look like. I have a question. The forum icons, is there any way to have a separate icon for dark mode? Our default icon that we use for all forums is black and that can't be seen in dark mode.
  13. I have just this minute created another and it’s working! 🙌
  14. Stupid question maybe you the advice of not upgrading a production site to a beta, just curious though, is there any thoughts of upgrading this forum here to the 5 beta, or not until it’s ready for public release?
  15. I’ve just created another just now, same as the other.
  16. Not sure if this was best placed here, but report or support ticket. Feel free to move, transfer, do as you please. Anyway, I signed up for a demo yesterday, got the details shortly after. Went to take a look last night (uk time), had a bunch of errors of the bat, not even had chance to sign in and break it myself, couldn’t open admin panel nothing. Just tried again this morning, same again. Tried different devices, not my end.
  17. You know what, this is truly and I genuinely mean it from the bottom of my heart, a monumental game changer of a feature. 15 years online, I've learnt that communication with members is vital. This keeps both sides in the loop and I've opted into the Beta to upgrade now just to have this.
  18. I’ve bit the bullet and set a date of November 1st to switch to email logins. I’ve had a topic pinned for 2 years warning people this was coming, then having read this the other day, sent out an alert to all members as well as pinning a fresh topic in the main board. I know I’ll still run into issues trying to recover accounts from those that haven’t been on for a while, just one of those things I guess. Can see the reasoning behind switching to make things more secure, even though we have had no known breaches since opening in 2009. Plus having users email addresses up to date isn’t a bad thing, I might start investing time into email newsletters with a few cheeky ads in to boost revenue.
