You could probably do something using a background image for the gift cards and that image being a red letter etc, but the app don't have anything for you to do that in the settings

New Features

• Added the ability to add a custom return URL to send members to after they purchase the gift card
• Added the ability to choose a default sender of the Private Message delivery for the gift cards
  • If blank the buyer will be the PM sender
  • Regardless of who sends the PM the sender will never see the actual PM, it will remove them from the conversation as soon as it sends the message
• Added the ability to add custom colours to the gift card colour selections
  • This setting uses the stack field setting linked to the colour selection setting allowing you to add as many different colours you wanted

Is possible add background image? 🤔 

 

When print, send PM or email it is exactly as the Gift Card designed, in this case with a customized design by the background image.

You would need to edit the email template and another one

not possible add this ability in the setting? as the colors choices, give us backgrounds images choices too.

Could you give us option to have 10 backgrounds images as template for differents moments? Then members can use the template of moments to send gift to other members, example, gift card for happy birthday, for new born,for new year (Chinese new year send Hongbao)...etc.

And a customizable option if member want to send gift card with their own image design 

Could you restore the original gift card widget that IP replaced with the menu item? Also, an option to replace the site name on the gift card with a logo instead? Would be a nice additions 🙂

do you mean Buy Gift Card widget? I have one already I use myself so if so I will add it to this app

I'll look into that but will make no promises on this one

@TheJackal84 Yep, that's the one. Used to be on the store home page before it was moved into the navigation bar. Would love to have it back.

At the minute I am not looking into custom member uploaded ones

So here's where I am

Gift shop store, There is settings for images and colours etc, The your logo here there are settings to show the sites name / sites logo / custom logo

Could you add notification bot for this feature? 

I would like have appearing this 🔔, when someone send a Gift Card (in chinese Red Envelope) and someone receive a gift card. 

But with option where the sender choose, if want to show the gift amount or not in the notification. 

This will be very interesting and interactive environment for a group or community people. What I try to implement is similar to the people sending red envelopes in the chinese new years. 

2. Sending Red Packet in Group Chat

The process of sending red packet to group members is similar to sending to individual. Open group chat and prepare the red packet as explained above. You will have different options when preparing the red packet.

Notification is pointless, if you want to send them a notification then send it via PM and they will get a PM notification

No that's not something I want to get into either, There is only so much what can be done to hook into IPS features

Updated to 1.0.2

New Features

• Added the ability to upload background images for the gift cards
  • You can upload as many backgrounds as you want
  • Background images works on all delivery templates for the gift cards
    • Email
    • Print
    • Private Message
  • If you ever delete the image from the settings / your server then the gift cards what have been sent will just show the default gift card colour
• Added the ability to replace the sites name on the gift cards
  • Use sites name
  • Use sites logo
    • If you don't see this option it is because you have not uploaded a site logo
  • Upload your own logo
• Redesigned the settings so it's more neater now there are more of them

Hey,

I have PM's turned off by default - they can be turned on by subscription, so this may be a nice way for others to send a gift to turn on somones messaging, but I digress.
The ability to send via email to a member is key, but does the purchaser need to know the members email address or will it just be a case of select member, send via email?

Also,
If the gift is for member A, and they print and send the hardcopy to member B, who gets the gift?
Can I turn off the various selections ie to to send via PM, or print - as per above?

For 1.0.4 onwards it will add a new menu tab what you need to manually add in the ACP

Go to ACP > Menu Manager > Add Item > Advanced Gift Cards > Position it where you want it then publish menu
