As everybody know, MSN is now dead.

Why not proceed to delete this useless field in default profile fields ? >_<

illogical to have both skype & msn field now

It's just a suggestion, thanks .

It'll probably be removed in IPS 4. :P

Uh, MSN is not dead. While not many use it, it's still an active service.

MSN / Windows Messenger was merged into Skype and now act as one service. That is what they are referring too. :)

Ah! I was just ribbing anyway. lols

Exactly

MSN was a valid service when 3.4.5 came out. It's only been about a month that MSN officially shut down and forced all users to install and use the Skype client.

I wouldn't mind seeing the field go poof in 4.0, though.

In this way, you can also remove the Google Video BBcode (replaced by Youtube now)

I deleted it myself along with AIM, ICQ, Yahoo and Jabber in custom profile fields, was I ok to do this?

I dislike the idea of the different types of accounts (MSN, Yahoo, Aim, etc) being a closed list, since webmasters could never possibly offer a good, complete set of the different types of accounts users can select from. I think there needs to be the option for a user to enter their own account type with custom name, similar to Google+.
