  1. Help has arrived and it's Stuart shaped.
  2. You will need to download the v5 files and apply them manually before running the admin/upgrade upgrader. If we used the delta upgrade system, it would pull all the v5 files and then throw an error as the code is very different.
  3. Thank you Gary, your support is very much appreciated.
  4. We're pleased to say that Invision Community 5.0.0 is now available to all customers. It's been a long journey, but we are now ready to support v5 as our primary release and offer our thanks to all of those who been involved in our beta testing program. What does this mean?We are currently in the soft release phase to help us manage the influx of feedback from those choosing to upgrade. We also have some new documentation to finish, and some website changes to make. If you're unsure what new features v5 brings, you can check out our "What's new in v5" page. Can I still use v4?Absolutely! And we would encourage you to plan your upgrade carefully. Version 5 is not a normal upgrade, it's a brand new platform with many significant changes including how themes are created, how widgets and blocks are managed and it comes with a brand new editor. We still be supporting v4 for quite some time with important bug fixes and security updates. What does the upgrade from v4 look like? It's important to know that any custom themes, applications and plug-ins will not work on version 5. These items are not deleted, but they are disabled. You will need to recreate any custom themes, and contact the authors of any third-party applications to see if they have updated versions ready to use. Upgrading for Invision Community Cloud CustomersYou will see a new section in your client area. Clicking "Request Upgrade" will show you some very important information which you should ready carefully and review before continuing with the upgrade. Please note that you need to be on the latest version of Invision Community 4 before you can upgrade to v5. Upgrading for Invision Community Classic CustomersThose who host their Invision Community remotely will see a new button when managing your purchase. What's next?Invision Community 5 is the very beginning of our brand new platform and we can't wait to start evolving the new features set to better serve your community needs. Please post your feedback in the feedback forum. Let us know what you think!
  5. The long awaited day is now here: 5.0.0 is now available! We feel that we're ready to fully support v5 and the time has come to make that first release of 5.0.0. While there are outstanding bugs, we felt it was the right time to move it beyond a perpetual beta and into the limelight as our primary version. We're considering this very much a soft launch in that we've still got new documentation to finish, and some large website changes but we didn't want to hold up the release for those. Thank you all so very much for your months of testing, feedback, help, support and time. You have been invaluable in moving this project forward. We started alpha testing way back in June 204 and this is probably our most tested release, and we have you to thank for this. While today marks the release of 5.0.0, it's really the starting line for us and we can't wait to build on it and see it evolve over the next year. We're not slowing down the pace, and I would expect 5.0.1 to follow pretty soon. We made it! We'll keep this club open for a while, but you can now post your feedback in the main forums. If you have any old Alpha 5 demos, these will expire soon but if you needed a short extension to get data off it please let us know.

  11. Our plan is for a fairly soft and quiet 5.0.0 release and then focus on the needs of those moving from v4. We keep all the status data, so it's trivial to convert it into a forum, or whatever if/when we wanted to do that. If the need isn't huge, I might just do a one-off app or something that does it rather than bake it into the product, but we won't know until more people start upgrading.
  12. Yes, it's been reverted while we work out some issues with it. The column can remain, that's fine.
  13. Just released a little update to fix a few things. #3463: Fixes an issue where in some cases forumRow will throw an error #3449: Restore IPS Template Highlighting Outside of Editor #3457: Removed refresh button from Android PWA #3459: Use featured color for indicator
  14. Are things marked when you manually refresh the page?
  15. There is a fix that we're testing in this Beta.
  16. I just used it and it marked it all as read. Can anyone else reproduce this?
  17. Two days is a long time in Invision Community: Beta 14 is out. We've only gone and released Beta 14 a mere 48 hours after releasing Beta 13! This has some fixes for the achievements form, custom image setting fields and last post information. We wanted to get some extra testing done. It's almost like we're preparing for something soon. 🤔

  20. We see all our products as different packages, not so much "Self hosted versus cloud". If the feature is showing on a tier that is not the self hosted version, then it will not be available in the self hosted version.
  21. The new features have been added to the purchase page.
  22. Can you restore your v4, upload the v5 files and update your client details please?
  23. 13 has always been a lucky number for me, let's keep the streak going! We've squeezed an extra beta in this week as there's some pretty big changes. You can see the full list here. This beta contains some PWA improvements, Postmark email sending and a fix for slow emoji panel loading on Safari Desktop. Let us know how you get on!
