Using images from magazine require us to use the alt text for copyright notes.
Since the editor in V5 can't do such simple standard, we are out of business with those articles, which doesn't make me happy.

I would very much appreciate, if it comes back soon and any blind guy trying to understand a v5 page with images will be thankfull.

I too need the ability to add aalt text for images. I'd like it to be mandatory when a member uploads an image attachment but also need it for the images that I upload to featured content. Its a big part of SEO, I get google warnings about the lack of image alt text all the time.

Hope it is in a future update. Just require users to type in alt image text into ta box when uploading image attachments. I know it isn't that easy, lol. But is totally needed. Especially need alt text field ability for forum icons, image logo in header, etc, etc. Im sure it's on the list of our developers. Right?

The alt tag is used by screen readers, which are browsers used by people with a visual impairment for example. These screen readers tell them what is on the image by reading the alt tag. A purely decorative image doesn’t necessarily need an alt text. Meanwhile, an image with statistics should have alt text that describes what the statistics are about.
