Posted February 27, 2024Feb 27 I've been using the record widget for at least 6 months with no issues. Beginning yesterday the widget is not working - it shows on the edit of the page, but when you finish the page it's not populating. No updates on the site, I'm totally baffled. How do I get this to show properly again? I don't see it as an option either on the left side where all the widgets you drag and drop are located either. Am I using something that was discontinued? February 27, 2024Feb 27 Author In fact, now that I am looking more into the site - none of the articles are showing. They all give an error of you don't have permission or sorry the page does not exist. The articles are in the backend and are still ok - but throwing errors on the users side.
February 27, 2024Feb 27 An empty block without error messages usually just means the block has nothing to show. So, yeah, you have permission problems in your database. There is nothing wrong with the block. Just go through all the permissions again and save them again. (Page, Database …) Edited February 27, 2024Feb 27 by opentype
February 27, 2024Feb 27 If it's your "articles.html" page, its because you actually have no database attached to it. You would need to edit that page, and add the database to the page again.
February 27, 2024Feb 27 Author @opentype @Marc Stridgen why would this work and now all of a sudden not? I've not had any issues with it working till now. just totally confused... What's weird is that it's across the whole site - not just one page. The widget is in place, it's configured correctly, but not showing now. What I am seeing is that the 'record feed' widget isn't in the left sidebar any longer. So if I delete the current one on the page and want to add a new one to refresh it - where would I find this?

It happens because the databases 'page' determines the URLs of all your articles pages. So if you remove it from the page in which the main database belongs on your site, it will remove the link for all articles.

September 23, 2024Sep 23 It actually depends on the template your pages database is using for records. Pages->Page Management->Templates is where they are all kept.
