Invision Community 5: A video walkthrough creating a custom theme and homepage By Matt Thursday at 04:02 PM
Core4D Posted September 17, 2021 Posted September 17, 2021 Hi guys, for some reason I am having this issue where I deleted some of my forums and this message is not going aways even though forum is deleted or completly empty... IN the image above you can see that Rendering forum is being deleted but when I check on the Forum page we can see its empty but still displaying... Any idea why is this happening? Ive tried to clear the catche but it didn't help. Unfortunately I am not able to contact IPS support anymore so I hope you guys can help me out. Â Thanks, Igor
Jim M Posted September 17, 2021 Posted September 17, 2021 Has the deletion queue completed in the background process queue? You can check this by going to ACP -> System -> Dashboard -> should see a block with "Background Processes." If it has not, you will need to await this process to complete and that will then fully remove these forums. If you are seeing any errors or issues with the background process, please let us know.
Core4D Posted September 17, 2021 Author Posted September 17, 2021 Ok I guess that is the "issue"...but nothing seems to be moving. There are 452 processes in the background... Â
Jim M Posted September 17, 2021 Posted September 17, 2021 Sounds like something is not working correctly then. I created a ticket for you in our system (you should receive an email) to further investigate what is happening here. Core4D 1
Core4D Posted September 18, 2021 Author Posted September 18, 2021 Thanks Jim, these processes are left and are there for a long time now....
Core4D Posted September 18, 2021 Author Posted September 18, 2021 Damn, this is still running and moving super slow...

Core4D Posted September 18, 2021 Author Posted September 18, 2021 Just now, TDBF said: Did you try and run them manually? I am afraid to do so, have no idea what can I expect and I am afraid I will break something.Â

Running them manually will speed up the process, however, you won't be able to change settings within the Admincp while this is working away. Edited September 19, 2021 by TDBF Core4D 1
Marc Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 On taking a look at your site, it appears there are no longer any background tasks there. Could I please just confirm these are sorted? I'm suspecting running them through manually has got them through for you?
Core4D Posted September 19, 2021 Author Posted September 19, 2021 Hi Marc, yes indeed...seems like that helped! 🙂 TDBF and Marc 2
Marc Posted September 19, 2021 Posted September 19, 2021 Excellent, thank you for letting us know. Enjoy the rest of your weekend
