This hook will give more control to board's administrator in birthday listing (board index sidebar hook and calendar). Now admin can:

• Choose if wants to show member's age in birthday list
• Choose which user groups can appear in birthday list
• Specify the limit (in days) to prevent inactive members (based in member's last activity) from being listed in birthday list

1. [*]Birthday list in board index sidebar hook is based on

Calendar cache. So if even after you change the settings and no change is noted on board index, visit the System tab in your Admin CP and then go to Cache Management. Click in Calendar tab and then click in Recache Cache in birthday line. [*]The setting to use group colors on user link was removed from this hook as now you can use (TB) Group Format - Addon for IP.Calendar 3.2

The hook is the same from IPS; my hook didn't touch it. Do you have any member with birthday today ? Go to Calendar and take a look in today.

i Put one user with birthday today and nothing show i thing is IPS problem because is same for boards stats not show nothing

the days limit seems not to work in 3.3.2 and a suggestion:
add a setting for the (currently hardcoded) limit of 5 entries to show. this is annoying enough in the default birthday hook, so this hook can do it better.

Of couse, dude. This is NOT be used on those versions! This hook was made to be used on IP.Board 3.2 and Calendar 3.1 or 3.2.

I'll update when I have some free time.

uuuh wee come down "dude". my intention of this posting was not to blame you or your hook, only that it caused my problem. i have (like many other users i think) a couple of hooks installed and i don't have always the complete overview if all hooks are working fine in new board versions. i also created a lot of hooks and know the effort of keeping them up to date. so i find it really helpful for the developer if the users are reporting their problems, if they have some. otherwise it's nearly impossible for the dev to keep a plenty of hooks always working on current and new versions (and you have 10 times more files than me).

so i have no problem if it's not working in my 3.3.x version. i can do the fix too and give it then too you, so you don't have to spend time on this. and in this step also include some feature requests mentioned in this thread. only my offer, if you are okay with it, let me know.

• Choose Birthday List position: Sidebar (default IPS Hook) or below Board Index Online Users list
• Choose if wants to show member's age in birthday list
• Choose if he wants to show group color on user links
• Specify the number of birthday users to show on Sidebar
• Specify the limit (in days) to prevent inactive members (based in member's last activity) from being listed in birthday list
• Choose which user groups can appear in birthday list

is there a portal block extension included? if i have to pay for it now, this would be the reason not to buy it if its not included.

best integration would be to add an entry "Portal Block" in the position drop down, so that its not displayed on other positions when using it in the portal.
