Well, it's a good solution because it might take a very long time for IPS to look into our suggestions, and usually they don't imply them into the core system. 🙂

I know, but if you have Pages, you can recreate all IPS widgets using it Topics feed, Posts feed, and Poll etc... and add the group permissions you need.

You mean Pages blocks, right? If not!! This is another solution. if you have Pages, you can create any custom block/widget and set permissions to whom can view the block.

It would be nice to have such thing in the core. There's an available app can do that.

To encourage members to engage with news and other purposes admins are using Pages for, it would be wonderful if we could have polls with Pages. I believe it would help many communities to make their members engage in regard to what they utilize Pages Database for because some people they don't like to leave a comment, or they are much active etc...

@Charles I am already following it, but it would be easier to access it from the menu instead of going to Help > Release notes > and then scrolling down to access it. 🙂 It's for reread purposes. I don't believe it would hurt if you guys include it with "More" submenu. 🙂

The only way to achieve that is to use this plugin. https://invisioncommunity.com/files/file/7352-change-post-author/ Change the guest's posts author to the same one that you want to merge his posts with guest's posts. -

@bassangler it's not just about you have figured it out or not. This is a community, so your question or how you figured it out could help someone else whenever he/she faces same issue you have just faced even if it's a very small issue.

Issues moving IPBoard to new subdomain.

IPS ACP doesn't have adminCP just admin, and you should add your subdomain. example: forums.mysite.com/admin -
MariaDB: I am using version 10.11.2 without any issues. PHP: 8.0 or 8.1 is the current IPS supported versions. Redis: Version 6 according to IPS because version 7 is not yet support by PHPRedis extension, but I am using version 7 without any issues. Elasticsearch: At least version 7.2.0, but less than version 8.0.0. Before update make sure you disable all third-party plugins and app, and before enabling them back to make sure you update them to the latest version where they are compatible with PHP 8 and support IPS 4.7.
