I need to manually change the location of my Downloads app files to the default uploads folder in preparation for the IPSv5 upgrade.

Do I only need to change the location, and will the software move them?

As long as you dont deselect “Move automatically” at the bottom when you save, it will indeed move them. If you want to move them yourself, which can often be faster, you can do so. If you do it that way, then deselect the checkbox
