Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted December 4, 2024Dec 4 Hello, recently, we've encountered issues with editing a hidden topic by its author. Another administrator/moderator can edit the thread, but the author of the hidden topic cannot. By "hidden topic," I mean one that is scheduled.
December 5, 2024Dec 5 Author Yes, it's a moderator, and they have such permissions, but they simply can't see the "edit" option. Interestingly, another moderator, when they are not the author of the scheduled topic, can edit it.
December 5, 2024Dec 5 Please check they dont have an individual moderator entry which is restricting them, as that will override anything else. Failing that, we would need to know the moderator and the topic, so we can take a look
December 5, 2024Dec 5 Author I think you can check this easily. Create a topic as a moderator, set it to be published on a specific day, and after creating it, check if you, as an author, can edit the topic that hasn't been published yet.

You have one moderator who can, and one who cant, so there is an issue somewhere. Additionally, I have indeed checked myself on my end, and see no issues. Hence the request
December 5, 2024Dec 5 Thank you. I have taken a look at the topic sent on the user sent over. When logged in, I also cannot see the edit option, or indeed the menu where that option would be. However its present when using a default unaltered theme. It seems the menu isnt present on your custom theme
