Make it so when hooks updates are avaiable, you can list them under where it says "There is x update available" and link the hook updates directly to the hook instead of browsing through the index. Or make it like WordPress, it will directly update it. This would be great.

It can already show you when there are updates available on the Manage Hooks page, if authors set up a system to allow that.

Yes, as Michael said, the infrastructure for this is there already - it is up to hook authors if they want to do this.
