How do you change the image for a thread in the Post Feed block?

Featured Replies

Trying to figure out how to kill or change the image for a thread/post in this block.

Where does it come from? It doesn't appear in the posted images for the thread, and I can't find it in the thread.

Thanks

JM

It would be an image that the system found in the topic. Doesn't have to be uploaded, it can just be an external image as well.

Ah, I see, so form one of the links I guess.

Thanks

Worth mentioning this is cached. If you change the image, it takes up to 5 min to reflect.

How can you change the image though, if it's on-the-fly from the topic?

You would ideally post a topic with an image included. I do this for my announcements here: https://administrata.net/forum/4-news-announcements/

In other topics, I don’t care much about images since the majority of members don’t use them. Otherwise, you’d just end up with placeholders in the widgets, which looks bad in my opinion. So I disabled images in the widgets for a cleaner look.

And if you want to change,

you'd change the topic and insert an image like I've done in those topics above. Not ideal, but it works. Reminder: doesn't go instantly, cached.
