Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted Sunday at 12:47 PM3 days Hello, On my self-hosted Invision Community forum (version 4), I have several subforums. I have an SMF version 2.14 database I'm trying to import into one of these subforums. I guess this database first needs to be converted, but then, how do I set up a subforum using this database?
Sunday at 12:55 PM3 days You would need to import it into your existing community and then arrange the forums/subforums in the software as you would like them to be. You can read more about the migration process here:

With taking proper backups of your existing community, not risky at all. 24 minutes ago, Jan Reidar Storelvmo said: Is there a "maintenance mode" for the forum when doing major updates? The software will automatically remove access and put up an "upgrade" banner during software upgrades. You can, of course, take your community offline at any point in ACP -> System -> General Configuration.
