modman Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Hello, this user purchased the minimum subscription that lasts a month last night, after a few minutes I received a notification that he has already purchased the renewal for next month. I checked and in fact his subscription has been purchased and already renewed, in practice now instead of lasting a month, the expiration is set in two months. What I wonder is: How did the user renew if IP.Board is configured to generate the renewal invoice a week before the expiration? modman Posted June 27 Author Posted June 27 This should not be possible. Can I disable this feature? That is, if I set the renewal invoice to be generated 7 days in advance, why can the user do it right away?
Marc Posted June 27 Posted June 27 There is no way in which to switch this off. I think you are misunderstanding the setting. That is that the system itself will automatically generate an invoice x days before renewal. It doesnt mean the user cannot choose to pay for multiple months. They can do this just by clicking the "Renew" option within the subscription page, and can actually chose how many months to renew for
modman Posted June 27 Author Posted June 27 Ok, this doesn't help me either... as always! Another thing: I had created another thread about the fact that the expiration dates are changed every time a user renews. And the intermediate dates are not stored in the database... no one answered me anymore... and yet you said that the renewals did not influence the expiration dates... It would be correct to look into this situation in more detail, this is the thread:
Marc Posted June 27 Posted June 27 As mentioned in that topic, we are unable to assist with custom items unfortunately 38 minutes ago, modman said: Ok, this doesn't help me either... as always! While I understand your frustration, it would be better to add a feedback topic requesting the feature you are looking for here. The software simply doesnt work in the way you are looking for it to work.
modman Posted June 27 Author Posted June 27 This is not customization. You say that renewing subscriptions does not affect the expiration date, but it does, because the current date is replaced by the new one. And as described in this topic, if a user renews for 99 months, the new expiration date will be in 99 months, completely changing the way a monthly subscription is supposed to work. Your database only has the start and end date, stop! Great way to manage subscriptions!

It does indeed. That is exactly what the renewal option is for. Again I understand yor frustration, and understand thats not how you want it to work. However it doesn't really change the fact this is how it works.
