Notifications sometimes one hour late?

Most of the time, notifications are close to real time. If someone posts something, I get a notification within a few seconds.

For the past few days I've started having some notifications (on this site as well as on my site) be delayed, for example this past one was about an hour late: 

Could contain: File, Page, Text, Webpage, Person, Face, Head
