Hi,

i would like to grant specific users /group the permission for adding images from the gallery to a post.

 

As Admin i'm allowed to but i cannot grant this to other users e.g moderators / staff.

I cant find the setting in Admin panel for granting a user group these permissions.

Could you please assist me in this case ?

If I remember correctly, that option appears only for images you have uploaded in the gallery. If the users don't upload images themselves, they can't use the option.

It can't be used to insert images uploaded by others in the gallery.

The above is indeed correct. Its for inserting an existing attachment that 'you' have added elsewhere
