owen Mailer Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 sorry everyone I've trawled the forums and you tube, but cant find anything, I am trying to set my site up so it loads into a homepage instead of the forum, I've watched videos on it but the all talk about either, portal or ip content and i cant find either of these in the market place, they are also mainly videos from 20010/11(cant find anything more up to date) if anyone could help me to do this i would really appreciate it, I have the latest version and also pages. Many thanks Owen
Dean_ Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 AdminCP>System>Applications>click the star on the app to set it as the default. IP.Content is pages - and you will need that in order to make custom templates and add pages around the forum in order to make a home page. With that you can use PHP widget, you can use database feeds too. I've made a custom home page simply by using the PHP widget or the WYSIWYG blocks.

owen Mailer Posted February 12, 2017 Author Posted February 12, 2017 Ah is this easy for someone with very limited coding experience?

If you're building a page in IP.Page, the page can be as simple or as complex as you want which means you can build a homepage with limited coding experience or you can build a very complicated homepage. In general, you drag-and-drop blocks into hot zones. For the blocks, you can rely upon the default IPS blocks or you can download more from the Marketplace.
