I've upgraded to 4.1.9 and would like to know where this new setting is?     Is it only available for choosing to select an image or link in a post, or can it be used by mods to change embedded images to a link?

ACP > System > Settings > Posting and under the Images & Videos section.

Someone could possibly make a mod that can do that, but first we gotta find what method is triggered on embeds.

Thanks, but I don't think anything has changed there from before the update.  

I was hoping this "setting to disable an embed" was a mod or member setting to exchange an existing image, gif, etc to a link and was available withing a post or mod controls.

It's an admin setting to enable/disable embedding site wide.

It isn't what I was hoping it was.  But thanks anyway.
