I would like to purchase chat module beyond 5-user limit and I cannot find link to allow me to do that. please advise.

Go to Your Purchases link in the Client Area and click on the community package.

On the next page after selecting the community, click the 'Manage your community' tab and scroll down a little bit. You'll see the IP.Chat plan here with a button to change it, click that and choose the new package level.

When its been approved, you'll need to temporarily close and re-open your chat for it to "upgrade" in most cases.

after all of that, is there a download that needs to happen, or is this something triggered via license????

If you already have Chat installed, no.

The user count is tied to your license. Go to ACP > License Key > Reload. Look down at IP.Chat and it should show your new user count.
