Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted October 25, 201212 yr Brilliant suggestion of mine  : can you think about implementing the Content Disposition feature for modern browsers, so the "Save" in Lightbox will actually download and save the the file to the user's computer instead of merely re-opening the file in a new window?
October 25, 201212 yr My members have been asking me why it does what it does. Some have even asked why the save button does not work. So had to explain what to do to get it to save. So yes this would be a good thing and would also make for less annoyed members.
October 25, 201212 yr :) Please don't. Right now that "save" button opening the image in a new tab is the only way you can copy the url to the image and share it somewhere else. :)
October 25, 201212 yr What about adding another button for getting the url. :) Or making the right click actually open the right click menu. :)
October 25, 201212 yr if something says save it should save. if something opens in new window then say that.
October 25, 201212 yr  Or making the right click actually open the right click menu. that would work too.
October 26, 201212 yr Author  Or making the right click actually open the right click menu. Amen. It bothers me so much that the right click doesn't ... right click. With all of the new social sharing services being added, perhaps it's time for IP.Board / Lightbox to add some new functions like "Share / Save / Open Original"?
