The Old Man Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 Superb mod, it works great on 3.1. We're currently collecting material to form our channel so its only available to staff at present but it works very well indeed. I wondered if there was a way to have an optional text area configurable in the AdminCP where we could post a description of what it is that members are seeing? I'd like to use it to post a description of what my channel is and what it contains, also a reminder than members can view the live channel or access selections from our video on demand library? Handy for describing your channel and how to use it for newbies to Livestream (like me!).
Andy Rixon Posted June 6, 2010 Author Posted June 6, 2010 Small bug report! Just finally installing this on IPB3.1 and noticed in the My Apps drop down list that the image is missing for iStream. "/admin/skin_cp/_newimages/applications/iStream.png was not found on this server." Thanks, I will try get this fixed :) Superb mod, it works great on 3.1. The Old Man Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 I know you only just agreed to consider adding some form of text area for us to provide a description of what the channel is and content to look out for, thanks very much for that once again. I hate to ask again, but we're thinking of making some of our content available in the On Demand section of our Livestream channel, which is already a Livestream feature. Is it possible for members to select their choice of On Demand constant through the iStream app player, or do they have to go to the actual Livestream page to make their selections? If so the text block would have to be used to mention that On Demand content is available to watch at the Livestream channel page. It would be great if this was in the player, because the Livestream website channel page is a bit ad heavy!
Andy Rixon Posted June 7, 2010 Author Posted June 7, 2010 Good point, I don't even know.... I don't think so, could try it. If it don't then, I may see about adding an "On Demand" feature for Livestream as well. Not sure when I will get that done, caked up with iArcade at the moment, but the suggestion for the description box will be in BETA 3 which I hope to have out either later today or tomorrow.
The Old Man Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Thanks Andy, you are a star! I haven't looked at their API, but their On Demand aspect may be included in the API.
Andy Rixon Posted June 7, 2010 Author Posted June 7, 2010 I've just looked at there API, they do have the On Demand, but the API ain't currently available.
Andy Rixon Posted June 8, 2010 Author Posted June 8, 2010 iStream 1.0.0 BETA 3 is now available for download, this release includes a new feature suggested by a user of iStream, the new feature allows you to add a description of your channel.
Andy Rixon Posted June 8, 2010 Author Posted June 8, 2010 *I have rebuilt the download to fix something I missed out, please redownload and upload the files again if you have already upgraded to BETA 3
The Old Man Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 Great work Andy, thanks for the updated features! The upgrade went perfectly.
Andy Rixon Posted June 9, 2010 Author Posted June 9, 2010 Glad to here you like it, and that it went perfectly :D
Andy Rixon Posted June 10, 2010 Author Posted June 10, 2010 Not yet I'm affraid, I am still looking into how they're API works.
The Old Man Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 I'm having trouble using the full screen button, when I click on it nothing happens. I have tried it on the latest version of Firefox and it doesn't work on either my PC or laptop. Anyone else having this problem?
Andy Rixon Posted June 12, 2010 Author Posted June 12, 2010 Thats a bug with it.... and as far as I know the only bug
Globaldjnetwork Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 working fine on my community but yes the view full screen does nothing, nice work on this...
The Old Man Posted July 4, 2010 Posted July 4, 2010 Thats a bug with it.... and as far as I know the only bug Just a reminder for when you get around to it, in the My Apps drop down list the image is missing for the iStream app. Have you had any success with allowing the Video on Demand side of things? Thanks again for such a great mod!
Andy Rixon Posted July 4, 2010 Author Posted July 4, 2010 Its on my To-Do list to fix that image issue. And I've not had time to take another look into it yet, so no, sorry.
Andy Rixon Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 iStream 1.0.0 RC1 is taking shape, but support for Ustream has been dropped and Justin.tv support has been added, the reason for this is because Ustream' API was way to hard for me to figure out. Here is a screenshot of the latest version. RC1 won't be available for download for another few days, be patient everyone.
Andy Rixon Posted October 4, 2010 Author Posted October 4, 2010 iStream 1.0.0 RC1 is now available, as normal, please leave feedback.
dzbeebo Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 installed just fine for me thanks... I wonder if I can embed the sidebar shoutbox into the side panel there... hmmm :ermm:
Richy-G Posted October 9, 2010 Posted October 9, 2010 be nice to have some sort of indicator to show if the stream is online/offline , also if could make the screen popout or have the option to have the stream shown on index page or not. Just some idea's great mod btw keep it up
