How would that add "complexity" and "some confusion"? Are you telling me that you think that your customer base it not able to handle it and gets confused by that? lmao no, you just want to "lock" your customer in for a year... This has nothing to do with "confusion". Essential you just said that it would be to "complex" and confusing" for us, so guess we are all a bit too incompetent to handle it. 🤥

Then why can't we access the marketplace without an active license? Buy new apps without it? or no longer able to download them anymore directly? This just feels like a hostage situation.

With this new higher price and not even ticket support anymore after January, I kinda expect faster bug fixes and definitely new "big" features that are suggestion since months on the forum.... And with regular I mean 2x monthly(or comparable) updates etc... and an actual Roadmap. If it keeps this paste with the new prices and no longer ticket support, I legit feel ripped of 🙂 It's kinda like holding us self-hosters as hostage. All the new marketplace changes since 4.5 don't make it better.

Maybe the big devs here will get together and create their own Marketplace website where people will always have access to their bought goods and not only when they have an active sub at IPB ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°) wouldn't that be great.

Kinda funny, the only reason why I have chosen Invision is because of Plugins/Apps from Adriano and DawidPi(I probably have like over 15-20+ of their plugins or so). I'm not saying Invision is a bad Forum system, but out of the box it just lacks certain features that I really need and feel like they should be implemented by IPS themselves. The fact that developers with a such a high amount of active apps/regular updates etc. have to pay for their licenses is in my eyes really "dumb". Yes they earn money from it, but now with this price increase it could be a death blow for a lot of the developers ^^, maybe not instantly but definitely gradually... If Adriano or DawidPl left this site, I could no longer update my forum to the newest version, which would also make me not renew my license and in the long run 100% move to another platform. I feel like this will end bad, terrible in the long run.

If I had known that this will happen, I would have never invested so much money into extra apps/plugins on the store ouuuuf. Really doesn't feel good for "old" customers.

Wouldn't it be better to have a sub-forum where other people can't see your post?

I was first panicking after seeing the new prices but that I read it's yearly ... 😉 Why not give the option for 6 months and yearly? :,) Don't like the new prices either... think this was the wrong move, ppl will now have even more reason to just use the nulled versions.
