Sorry... I think I know why it cannot be found. The topic has been archived automatically because it wasn't update for a long time.

The problem now is that I can't unarchive it, There is no option. Why?

Thanks

@michimachi

I do not have access to archiving settings anymore because I had Invision disable archiving for my site - it was ruinous for us because old topics are often searched and provide valuable information. I suggest that you contact Invision and ask them to disable archiving if this is needed for your community. The archiving settings can be located here (edit the URL to match your site):

Archived topics will not be in the search index. You will want to address this in ACP -> Community -> Forums -> Settings -> Archiving. If you have any questions, please feel free to let us know.

Yes I know the archive options are there. I set it up yesterday so that it didn't archive anymore and to unarchive everything and that didn't happen

But my question in this topic is about the fact that the topic is archived but there is no option in the topic to unrchive it as it was in other topics. So how am I supposed to unarchive it if the option doesn't exist and an ACP I did what have to do.

Is the topic older than the limit you have set in the ACP? When I last had access to that section in the ACP, the upper limit was nowhere near what I needed. So, Invision disabled the limit for me.

It is a background process to unarchive items. It can take quite a while depending on the number of topics.

It doesn't make too much sense to me. It's been probably two days and my community didn't have many archived topics. There must be something wrong in the process.

Topics like the one I mentioned and this one topic/55271-pne-ag-pne3/

Are still archived and there is no option anywhere to unarchive them individually. Why can't I unarchive it individually? The option doesn't exist.

The unarchive task is run every 5 minutes, so my whole site should have been scanned long ago in 2 days. But still many the archived topics were NOT unarchived.

I had originally clicked on the Yes, restore topics, but the topics are still archived.

I've even manually run the Unarchive task but the topics are still archived and no option to unarchive them individually.

This is a gradual unarchive/archive process. They will not appear instantly. Its intentionally written that way

But how do I know the number of topics that are being unarchived?

Why can't I go to a specific topic I need and unarchive it manually? I need to do it but the option is not there to manually unarchive a topic as I did in the past many times, the option is no longer there.

When you made the change it should tell you the percentage of your topics which would be impacted. It will not give you a number.

It is likely in a batch getting converted but if it hasn't in another day or two, we can certainly convert this to a ticket to investigate.

Nope, incorrect. When I made the change, I was prompted with a choose with two blue buttons, which I've attached in a previous message. No percentage. Otherwise I would not be asking this question in the first place.

I will wait and report if it doesn't work.

But you still have not answered my question.

Why can't I unarchive manually an individual topic? Why?

As mentioned, this is likely already being unarchived as a part of that batch so can't be individually. If it hasn't in another day or two, we can certainly convert this to a ticket to investigate further.
