Mailchimp integration questions

Good morning,

I have not moved my cloud community to version 5 yet but I am planning to do it soon. I was always interested in a full integration with mailchimp and now I can see that Mailchimp has been added in the integrations, but I've not been able to find any documentation on all the features that this integration has. Only the link below...

My quetions are simple:

  • Can mailchimp tags be used so that when a user subscribes, a specific tag or tags will be added?

  • Are courses iintegrated? A user buys a course, I want the user to be added to my mailchimp's audience with a tag for that course so that he can get the welcome emails, and the automation emails

  • Are products integrated too? A user buys a product, the email is sent to mailchimp and the product tag is added to mailchimp's audience. Similar to the courses

  • If a member's product renewal expires, can the member's tag be sent to the mailchimp's audcience?

Those are some of my questions. I've not found any documentation when I search the site, that's why I am asking. Thanks

The integration currently adds/removes members from your mailchimp list automatically. There is no integration with specific tags, or specific items such as products, courses etc

Thanks a lot. So what's the point of adding the mailchimp integration? Just sending bulk emails? Mailchimp relies on audiences and most importantly on TAGS. If members of my community buy courses, products, etc, I won't be able to add them to my audience with a tag, only to a single audience or list. I don't need multiple audiences, actually, having a single audience is better to scale for the future by using tags.

But you've integrated Mailchimp without adding the most important feature, the tags. And the main products on Invision, that is, products, courses, and others, are ruled out and I won't know if the emails on my audience have purchased a product or a course.

Why did you leave courses, products and subsciptions out of the integration? I believe you could make that so easily and fast that I don't understand why you left that out and didn't do a full integration, and only opted for sending emails.

Important to mention that the current implementation is not final. We typically iterate a feature based on feedback we receive. You're more than welcome to provide your suggestions in our Feedback forum.
