Legacy discontinued is a tragedy

Featured Replies

I am sure I speak for many when I say how deeply disappointed we are in the decision to effectively kill the smaller communities who were content with their forums for over a decade.

I understand that you've done the math but success should not come at the expense of suffering that you inflict on others. No matter the cost of enterprise and scalability, there are always ways to look after the little guy.

I wish everyone the best and my heart goes out to all the people and their communities who won't recover from this decision.

Perhaps we can help each other find a different path? Don't hesitate to reach out to me and know you're not alone.

Thank you for your feedback, Aldro.

We of course understand that for some, the change can be quite a bit. As much as we would have liked to continue with the legacy packages (and have done so for as long we can), it has been unsustainable to continue offering those packages.

As I'm sure you may have read elsewhere already, we moved away from our old, more traditional infrastructure, to a true cloud solution which is quite a large investment as a company, which is something that had to be done in order to ensure we keep up with todays ever changing technology. Maintaining older legacy systems is simply not cost effective, unfortunately.

If you require any further assistance, please feel free to open up a ticket, and I'd be happy to speak to you on a more account-specific level.
