Question about legacy offerings

Featured Replies

currently I am using a legacy offering starter plan on invision version 4.

I can see the following in my client area:

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing the best possible service, we want to let you know that your current cloud plan is part of our legacy offerings.

Our new plans offer various features aimed to support your thriving community. When you are ready to take advantage of version 5 for your community, you will need to first choose one of our current plans.

to the left of this I see version info and renewal price/date, indicating I am due to renew with a date early next year. However I am sure I have read something about legacy offerings being removed which I now cannot find.

What I would like to know is:

  1. when will this legacy offering be discontinued

  2. If i did nothing, when would the forum I host using invision stop being hosted (i.e. how long do i have to change things)

I'm not sure an actual date for removal has been set yet, so you are good for now. However its not possible to update to version 5 until you make that switch over. Is there anything I can help you with in making that transition?

I thought Oct was the drop dead date for Legacy(?).

Dangerous those thoughts you know? :)

Some very old ones, yes. We actually have quite a few different legacy items knocking around. Dont worry, if you have one we will inform via email once we're ready :)

No worries. Mine was set to drop in Oct. I have however upgraded.

I would just like to say as well, that I truly appreciated the grace of having been allowed on a legacy plan for as long as I was. Much appreciated.

Hi Mark. Thank you for the response. I believe I must have seen some of the same thing my Sharona was referring to in a forum post.

No worries about the transition yet, now i know there is no rush i will take my time and work out how best to have the forum hosted, what is likely to change etc before I move over.
