Spam/Private Messaging Issue

Featured Replies

I have my spam prevention protocol set up so the first post of a new User must be approved first, before being posted - everything else is automatic. But before that post is approved, apparently they have access to the Private Messaging system and are harassing other Users. Is there anyway to prevent access to Private Messages until after their first post is approved?

Short of Adriano's App, you could set up a group promotion in the ACP. It would be where you set all new registrations to be placed into a new user group that has no private messaging abilities. Then after "x" amount of posts, you would set rules for group promotions to move them into a different user group.

I would recommend using Group Promotion so that new users would have limited permissions and then get promoted to a different group after they reach x amount of posts which then have more permissions (such as messaging).
