GBotelho Posted June 28 Posted June 28 (edited) The "Two factor Authentication" using the "Google Authenticator" application stopped being used when I log in. Checking my user profile I discovered the message: “Two Factor Authentication not configured” (I was using the "Google Authenticator" app). When editing, now the only option is “Security Questions”. It is no longer possible to use an “Authenticator App” like Google or Microsoft! If I “Edit”, “+add” a question/answer And “Save” When I return to my profile this is the current user status regarding the "Two factor Authentication" It was not accepted!! GBotelho Posted June 28 Author Posted June 28 (edited) So. editing in my profile out of the AdminCP, I found that for an unknown reason the Google Autenticator was disabled. I enabled it, deleted the account in the app in my phone and created a new one. The codes are not accepted. Edited June 28 by GBotelho
GBotelho Posted June 28 Author Posted June 28 Yes. I deleted the old account in the Google Authenticator app and added a new one. Code is no accepted And I've just repeated the procedure with the same result. Code is not accepted as it is not valid.
Marc Posted June 28 Posted June 28 Have you done this on the site also? You will need to remove authenticator on your account then re-add it too
GBotelho Posted June 28 Author Posted June 28 (edited) I'm going to have to use the 2FA using the "Questions" In the site (in my profile, not i the AdminCP), the option was off. There was nothing to delete. I "Enabled" the "Google Authenticator" option I deleted the old account in the Google Authenticator in the phone. I added the account in the Google Authenticator by reading the provided QR code. Then, as requested, I used the code from the app and placed it in the pop up window in the PC The code was no accepted according with the image I sent Edited June 28 by GBotelho
