artificialnocturne Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 Is this at all possible? I would like to display the recent topics from each sub forum on the root forum's page. The reason for this is to make better use of the space on the page. Example: http://community.invisionpower.com/forum/452-ips-extras/ ^^These root pages look really weird when you don't allow topics to be posted in your root forum.
Rimi Posted June 19, 2012 Posted June 19, 2012 I'm sure it's possible with a hook. Just modify the query a little to pull topics inside the sub boards and then display them.
Weppa333 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 just mY 2 cents here, it should be noted that this seems to be default behaviour in VB5 now ( showing the latest activity of subforums to the root forum level) and this will indeed be much appreciated.
AllanLima Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 This hook has the SOS Invision, you can configure which you want to appear in the Index.http://forum.sosinvi...showtopic=33087 Use and recommend
artificialnocturne Posted June 21, 2012 Author Posted June 21, 2012 This hook has the SOS Invision, you can configure which you want to appear in the Index.http://forum.sosinvi...showtopic=33087 Use and recommend Thanks for the suggestion, but this is not what I was looking for unfortunately. This hook places a box of recently updated topics at the top of the main index, whereas I'm looking to add recently updated topics to the main root category page of each forum/category.
