I think it should be a good idea to "lock" the blog feature post after staff members or whomever stop going back to read them so that if someone does ask something about them their post is left in the dust and forgotten.

We quite often review replies on older blog entries (though we don't always respond). I, personally, typically look at the "latest comments" block in the sidebar of our blog, for instance.
