Posted January 11, 201114 yr Hi I beileve this has been discussed a lot that current "flag someone as spamer" is not really useful as we need to manually log in ACP to remove all articles +ban members after several process is this going to happen on IPB 3.2 ? January 17, 201114 yr Author Hi there is only "unapprove posts, empty profile and ban accounts" issue is , why only UNapprove? if we consider it spam, we want to REMOVE all posts from our DB
January 17, 201114 yr The function already exists, simply select the user in ACP under Actions and go "Delete all Member posts"
January 17, 201114 yr Author I know that, I meant to flag as spamer+ "remove" all post on frontend of forum when you click "flag as spammer" it is not logical to click someone as spamer frontend and go to ACP to remove all post if we have to go to ACP, why not we just just go ACP and set user into baned group.... "flag as spammer" is then useless ...
February 7, 201113 yr Author this is a simple and easy-to-add function, possible to add this on IPB 3.2? "flag as spammer" is basically useless if you want to delete everything frontend without gonig to ACP
February 26, 201113 yr Agreed, even when you click flag as spammer they are not moved to the banned usergroup.
April 27, 201113 yr I agree too. It takes way too long to ban people. IF an admin or moderator flags as spammer, all of their posts should be deleted.
April 27, 201113 yr I have just found if you use the warn status you can ban users from there for a period of time or total ban.
April 29, 201113 yr Author There are so many spams on 3.1.4 lately, even we ban members, their "spams" posts are NOT "removed" I know they could be set "unaprooved", but what is the reason to set spams unprooved ;p? please make one-click to remove everything happen tks
May 8, 201113 yr IPB have a function, automated, when a bot/member make spam, IPB have some levels of warnings, at one level, that member is autmaticly moved to banned users. "Spam Monitoring Service"
March 10, 201311 yr Yes, as a site admin, with IPB, removing obnoxious posts is taking up most of my time... more time than responding to legitimate users! I want a one-click ban+delete posts+block ip button.
May 19, 201311 yr I agree, the process right now takes too long. 1. find the User in the front end. 2. find user in the backend. 3. Click on his name. 4. CLick on all actions then delete posts/topcs. 5. after its done click back 3 times. 6. click ban member and the check boxes. You would think that when the administator is logged in the front end, there you can just click on his name and have a ban/mark as spammer/remove all posts button. It would make life so much easier.
May 29, 201311 yr That option is there already, you just need to set the Flag as Spammer option to behave like that via ACP.
December 17, 201311 yr Any way to delete all banned members from the database without having to go into phpmyadmin?
