With all the chatter of late from people wanting to kill the "Live Chat" link, it got me curious about the component, so I clicked on Invision Chat (ParaChat) Purchase and Information in my ACP. Here's what I found under Hosted Chat Pricing...

* For performance and load balancing purposes, the maximum number of concurrent users for "Unlimited" is 500.

This is more a suggestion about the service than with IPB itself. ;)

I just went on got Munj's IBIRC ... not the most secure, but most people use it once and then get MIRC anyway.
