Pretty much the same as vbulletins. When you are viewing the topic list. You can roll your mouse over the name of the topic and it shows (in a description box) most of the first post that was made in the topic.

I know there are mods at Invisionize.com for that. I personally dislike forums that do that, as the overlay covers some of the topic listing, and I like to move my mouse under the topic's in a way that people read with their finger under the words in books. It should definitly have a ACP option for On/Off, and possibly a My Controls option to disable it for individual users. :thumbsup:

I agree; something like this should be built-in, yet user controlled.

I hate stupid little pop-up boxes. For instance, mythtv (whether you are familiar with it or not just read) has a search box at the top of every page. When you mouse over it this whole box with advanced features comes out of no where and covers some important links ... its takes forever for it to disappear ... its just plain annoying.

No auto-pop-up things ... they drive me crazy.
