I think a majoriy of us would like to have the ability to add the date and time for an event. I think it would be very useful as well.

Definitely a plus when posting tv schedules ... +1

On top of that ... certain calendars warrant the use of this feature (others don't), so in the individual calendar settings there should be a "Calendar type" setting to select between a date and a date/time calendar.
